Project SYNK

The Prosthetic That Learns You

A next-generation bionic arm that adapts to its user through the power of artificial intelligence.

The Challenge

Today, over 2 million people in the U.S. live with upper-limb loss, yet the most advanced prosthetics can cost upwards of

$40,000

putting them out of reach for the majority. Furthermore, most devices are static, offering a one-size-fits-all control system that fails to adapt to the individual user's body and intentions.

Our Solution: An Arm That Adapts

Project SYNK is a prosthetic arm designed to be both affordable and intelligent. By integrating cutting-edge AI with cost-effective hardware, we're creating a device that offers intuitive, personalized control.

Intelligent Muscle Sensing

Using advanced MyoWare EMG sensors, the arm reads the natural electrical signals from your muscles, translating your intent directly into movement.

Adaptive AI Brain

The magic is in our continuous learning AI. Powered by a Jetson Orin Nano, the arm's neural network (a combination of CNN and LSTM models) learns your unique muscle patterns. The more you use it, the smarter and more responsive it becomes.

Designed for Accessibility

We are leveraging modern, powerful, and affordable hardware to dramatically reduce costs and make this life-changing technology available to everyone who needs it.

How It Works: A Simple Flow

Our system is a seamless loop between user intent and action.

1

SENSE

Non-invasive EMG sensors on the skin detect the electrical signals generated by your muscle movements.

2

THINK

An onboard Jetson Orin Nano processes these signals in real-time. Our AI model filters out noise, identifies the intended gesture, and makes a decision in milliseconds.

3

ACT

The Jetson sends a precise command to the motors in the hand, actuating the fingers to perform the intended motion, like making a fist or a pinch.
